COTTON ROSE TO THE OCCASION AT THE 2025 WORLD’S CHAMPIONSHIP BAR-B-QUE CONTEST
Cotton Holdings brought unmatched energy, elegance and thousands of red roses to the 2025 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) cook-off scene. As the returning Title Sponsor of the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest (WCBBQC), Cotton cooked up unforgettable experiences by hosting guests at the rose-filled Cotton ‘Q Club during the contest and participating in other signature rodeo events.
Painting the Town Red with Roses at the Cotton ‘Q Club
At the legendary Cotton ‘Q Club during the WCBBQC, guests were treated to an elevated rodeo cook-off experience. This year, the Club featured over 20,000 red roses — including many hanging from the ceiling — across a luxurious, “country-chic” space. Larger-than-life decor like sparkling crystal chandeliers, gold-framed trophy mounts and a 50-foot bar lined in green velvet also filled the venue.
Inside the Club, high-energy live performances across three nights had guests dancing to the sounds of Tucker Wetmore, Midland, MacKenzie Porter, The Castellows, Jon Wolfe and Pete’s Dueling Pianos. Cotton’s partnerships with Whistlepig Whiskey, Casa Del Sol and Dripping Springs Distilling powered curated cocktails for guests to sip in style while they enjoyed the music and socializing.

Vice President, Human Resources
Since 2001, Gracie has been instrumental in shaping and leading our human resources teams as one of the very first hires within our HR division. She began her career with Cotton as our first Human Resources Manager in which she established the foundations of the department before eventually being named Vice President of HR. In this role, she is responsible for planning and implementing policies and procedures to support all company goals for all lines of business as it relates to hiring, promoting, retention, counseling, compliance, and employee relations. She has helped our company make mission through many of our largest CAT events, from driving daily to Beaumont in 2005 to support onsite operations after Hurricane Rita to leading our HR division through the chaos of Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
Before her tenure with Cotton, Gracie had been involved in human resources for over 35 years with a background in retail, manufacturing, advertising, and more. She also possesses an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences from San Jacinto College. When not supporting our company’s vast business activities, Gracie enjoys participating in and supporting her local neighborhood church, which also happens to be where she met her husband of almost 40 years in youth group. While their 2 daughters have left the nest, they enjoy hosting functions at the house that bring the whole family together.
