WHY IS SOCIAL DISTANCING IMPORTANT?
By now, we’ve all heard of social distancing as it relates to the Coronavirus. The act of keeping at least six feet of distance between yourself and others could reduce the risk of contracting and spreading the virus.
You can maintain social distancing by:
Staying home from work and school
Avoid visiting family and friends
Ordering takeout rather than dining in
Postponing nonessential travel
Rescheduling doctor appointments that aren’t critical
Exercise at home or outdoors and not a public gym
If you need to leave home during the day, be sure you’re keeping a safe distance and practicing the following health tips, provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
Let’s all work together to reduce the risk of Coronavirus and keep our communities safe.
