According to the latest forecast from Colorado State University, the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season is expected to be above average, driven by significantly warmer sea surface temperatures in the eastern and central Atlantic. These elevated ocean temperatures create ideal conditions for hurricane formation and intensification, as warm water is the primary fuel source for tropical systems.
