Human Resources Manager

Midland, TX

Work with local management and VP of Human Resources to hire, term, implement, facilitate and communicate all employee related processes, procedures and policies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Proactively address employee relations’ issues
  • Ensure effective communication with Employees and Management
  • Ensure consistent policy interpretation and application.
  • Complete and process all personnel paperwork (i.e. new hire, terms, changes etc)
  • Ensure department managers are conforming to evaluation process and salary increase guidelines.
  • Seek innovative programs and plans that will increase employee retention.
  • Assist VP of HR with wage surveys to maintain competitive in the market
  • Assist with communicating enrollment process (New Hire & Open Enrollment)
  • Understand the plan to provide basic knowledge.

Work closely with local management and safety personnel to promote safety awareness

Maintain OSHA Log and attend Benefit Review hearings for local region when necessary.

Work closely with facilities to manage workers comp file.

Work with local managers to guide and promote performance improvement.

Monitor and ensure evaluations are done timely and accurate to reflect both negative and positive feedback.

Communicate the importance of consistency and documentation to all management levels

Work with the local management team to support and develop programs to increase productivity.

Work with VP of HR to develop training programs specifically identified as need in a region.

Selecting the right candidates to present to Hiring Manager to interview for open positions.

Collecting and using the appropriate documentation for any hearing or investigation.

Understand the laws, policies and procedure to provide management with the appropriate advises regarding any issue.

Conflict resolution

Employee fails to turn in insurance paperwork timely and delay or even misses enrollment period. Causing delay in obtaining coverage.

Knowledge & minimum qualification required:

  • Business/HR degree or related field equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years Human Resources Generalist experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of all Employment Laws and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Proficient in basic and current office computer software
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus
