Construction/Restoration Project Manager

National Project Manager

To oversee national construction projects. This will include all aspects of the project to include the performance, coordination, documentation and customer contact. Work with sales and marketing to ensure that the customer and the insurance adjusters are kept up to date on all project activities. Adhere to all construction protocol, project policies, accounting procedures etc. Also, responsible to ensure that the service quality is at the company’s highest standard.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Confirm scope of work, planning and coordinating job from beginning to end.
  • Perform work within given budget or communicate concerns.
  • Project Buy Outs…Set draw schedule w/Subs and vendors, pull permits, initiate and follow through that all necessary paperwork is in the project file.
  • Developing a critical path and communicating it to the Regional Director.
  • Keep client and adjuster informed to promote good customer service.
  • Ensure that all job files have proper-signed contracts and required forms depending on type of job.
  • Create and maintain construction schedules.
  • Process files on a timely basis to ensure accurate processing by the accounting department.
  • Keep accurate timesheet to ensure job-costing and payroll check are correct.
  • Keep field staff motivated to ensure job is completed timely and maintains the highest quality standards.
  • Keep open line of communication and constant networking with adjuster, the insurance community and any target business assigned.
  • Maintain the highest of integrity to ensure the “Cotton” image is not viewed negatively.
  • Maintain or exceed required profit margins, if consistently unable to meet expected margins it could lead to disciplinary action.

Basic & Essential Function of the Job

  • Good driving record (for insurability purpose to drive a company vehicle)
  • Ability to get in and out of vehicle
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time (to complete paperwork as needed or manage job while in the field)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a smoky environment

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Degreed or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of workflow procedures and systems
  • Knowledge of insurance industry a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project a plus
  • Knowledge of building codes
  • Understanding Permitting process
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to read and understand an Exactimate Estimate
